Who we are looking for: Exceptional individuals who are interested in a career in primary market and industry research

Key responsibilities:
- Sourcing experts in key sectors of interest for FACT. Capable of building and qualifying primary populations of topic experts relevant to our investment themes
- Conducting primary research - includes quantitative recurring surveys, short-form questionnaires, long-form discussions
- Engaging in secondary research from available sources
- Maintaining relationships with our network of contacts
- Data analysis

Compensation model: 13,000 RMB/ month with discretionary annual bonus
Work is coordinated remotely with a team that is primarily based in NYC and Singapore

Structure: Global long/short fund, with net exposure levels of the latter linked to the economic cycle and the investment opportunity set (40-60% net exposure, 110-160% gross exposure).

Team: Founded by Joyce Meng, who has spent the last decade in global long/short equity. Prior to FACT, Joyce was Partner/Managing Director at Vernier Capital and Research Analyst at MSD Capital and Goldman Sachs Investment Partners. Joyce graduated summa cum laude from the Huntsman Program of the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a BA in International Studies and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School. As a Rhodes Scholar, she graduated with distinction from Oxford University with an MSc in Financial Economics and an MSc in Economics for Development. Joyce is also recognized as Forbes 30 under 30 (2014) and Wharton 40 under 40 (2015). She speaks Mandarin and Spanish fluently.  

Gretchen Guo, who worked as Research Analyst at Ruffer Asia (Hong Kong), Senior Associate at Citadel's Surveyor Capital, and Assistant Vice President at Sanford C. Bernstein. Gretchen graduated from Harvard College with an AB in Economics and Psychology. She then attended graduate school at the University of Chicago, receiving an MBA (Finance, Management, and Entrepreneurship) as well as an MPP.  Gretchen speaks Mandarin fluently.
